About the Rarebox

The short version of this explanation is that we're simply a small haven with a collection of artists that once had homes for character fanart in various Rareware/Donkey Kong Country sites throughout the internet which have all now died.

The site is designed and maintained by yours truly, Cammiluna. The main event is the blog, where the artists of this site will be posting their fanart and any thoughts, news, or related stories and stuff. Then we also have some comics to look at!

Recently featured now, is our brand new Oekaki board, open to all! It's almost like a message board but you get to draw pretty pictures with one of it's java-based painter programs!

Oh, and don't mind the bonus room. It's usually just something random and stupid(?) that will change without notice. The Retro User gallery archiving is temporarily on haitus until I get the right gallery coding to handle it all.

This place will run the same as it always has over the years. We carry artwork and shinnanigans to Rareware's games, including Donkey Kong Country despite what happened between Nintendo and Microsoft in 2002. It doesn't change a thing here except not all the artists are willing to burn extra hundreds of dollars on Xbox/360 consoles! hur hur! However, though, if theres any series in this realm that you haven't seen artwork of, like Perfect Dark, it's only because we don't have any... Perfect Dark fanartists in our group. At least not in this current day!

Contact:
The artists will more than likely have links to their own e-mail addresses in their posts, but if you wish to reach administration, aka ME, with any questions, concerns, or feedback and stuff, my e-mail is at gerako @ gmail dot com. I do not give out any AIM/Instant Messenger information. Don't mind me. I type too much!

I hope you enjoy your stay here!

Disclaimers are quite obvious: No artist on this site actually owns Banjo-Kazooie or any of the other wahoos owned by Rare or any company whose own wahoos make any appearance on here, though, HOWEVER, own the artwork they've drawn here as well as campfire tales and whatnot. Artists can log in here.
